Neurotype Exploration Session
Neurotype exploration sessions are for those who might not be ready to jump into an assessment. They are for people who are curious about their neurotype and have questions about their experiences. You can think of this time as an extended consultation call for those who are unsure if an assessment is a next step for them.
These sessions offer a structured, supportive way to explore what might be going on and what could be helpful next.
Who these sessions are for
A neurotype exploration session may be a good fit if you:
have asked others if they think your experience is connected to ADHD or Autism
wonder whether ADHD, Autism, or both might apply to you
feel that something has always been a bit “off,” but don’t have language for it yet
want support making sense of patterns without committing to therapy
need more information about whether an assessment is the right next step
Bring your questions and curiosity.
What we do in a session
These are focused, collaborative conversations.
In a neurotype exploration session, we may:
talk through your history and current experiences
notice patterns related to attention, regulation, or sensory processing
explore strengths as well as challenges
discuss what types of support or next steps might be useful
How this session fits in with other services
Neurotype consultations are separate from therapy and are typically limited to one or two sessions.
They can stand on their own or be used as a stepping stone toward a comprehensive assessment, depending on what feels right for you.
There’s no pressure to move forward with anything beyond the session unless you want to.
